Nissan model MCPL02A20LV with the K21 engine it think, has a fault code E-23 on the display. I read in a code chart that the code is related to throttle sensor fault. We replaced the throttle sensor potentiometer, cleared the codes (correctly I think) but the code E23 came back. Any ideas what else the problem could be. Thanks guys.

Hello yes it is a throttle code but it could mean other things beside the POT,

Inside your fuse box/relay box there is a blue relay that sends the signal to your ECM i have seen these go bad and cause this code.

The only other thing left to replace would be the throttle body, on the butterfly itself of the unit.
Worst case you have bad wires going to the throttle body itself.

But yes the most common issue with this code is the throttle POT, I always like to replace the blue relay and the POT just to cover my ground, once in a while you will get a faulty throttle body usually due to age.
